neon.gif Most collections that were shown under the guise of having fun were safe renditions of tried and trued seasons past, further pushing young Pierre's point home. House of Fields, however, was big fun. Verushka is still hot beyond belief and Ru Paul Boy's smile in the front row was endearing, but you didn't need to see her show to get the point if you get out much. Fields projects another one of those great be-yourself-with-no boundaries statements. By far the longest term American influence in club and street wear, Fields' racks were the source of Absolut's latest summer ad due out in June. Absolut Clubbing.

Susan Cianciolo's showing of her Run fall collection in the growing warehouse gallery district west of Chelsea was worthwhile. Set in a parking garage to live jazz, N.Y.C's in-house cartoonist Steve Marcus "tattooed" guns to the models before they walked the makeshift ramp. Bill Cunningham's effervescent grin added sunshine to the grim week and the band played on.
